Sybil Hill Carter is an artist specializing in gouache paintings. She began her gouache series in 2022 after receiving training and studying under artist Anna Rhodes in Carmel-by-the-Sea. Sybil was immediately drawn to the emotional connection that the gouache painting provided. She was also fascinated by the fact that this water-based paint has been used for thousands of years and is still popular among artists today. Sybil finishes each painting with water-based wax, and most are framed and protected with museum glass.
